2. भारत के भीतर किए गए अपराधों का दण्ड –

हर व्यक्ति इस संहिता के उपबन्धों के प्रतिकूल हर कार्य या लोप के लिए जिसका वह भारत के भीतर दोषी होगा, इसी संहिता के अधीन दण्डनीय होगा अन्यथा नहीं।

2. Punishment of offences committed within India.- 

Every person shall be liable to punishment under this Code and not otherwise, for every act or omission contrary to the provisions thereof, of which he shall be guilty within India.
